Therapia ~ To Heal ( Greek )
This does incorporate a strong Human factor:
Concern, Caring, Compassion, Kindness,
Wisdom, and Sacred Mental Health Skills
AND,
You just gotta' give 'it'
a real chance.
Seriously….
What else can I say
We just ain't got
No easy Fix
scripted magic answers
to your unresolved bummer
of a nagging ongoing depression
that constantly gets in the way of
my life - a painful mess inside me,
or an unmanaged mood disorder
About What ? - 'WHY' ? - Why Me ?
Kindness: You've offered this before
for a distressed family or for friends
" If you take care of the Inside,
the Inside will take care
of the Outside."
Our hearts are way open
and full of caring patience
s you begin to cultivate
these Buddhist-based
'Live' Human to Human
Healing Skills on your own.
You've suddenly Realized:
You've done this before.
You've done this before
You've done this before
"I've just realized again that
the Buddha in me wakes up !"

♦ AKASA-MAITREYA LEVI, DhMA (D.Min) ~ SUNY Harpur College / Binghamton University, New York – a rebel American who went to live the post-1970s decade abroad in Asia. Akasa's aspiration: to study the Buddha's Dharma teachings and practice Mindfulness meditation directly with the Last Living Realized Asian Teachers of the Pre-Global Era. He was a Vipassana Buddhist beggar-man's orange robed forest monk for six years - trained and ordained into the Theravada monastic lineage by the revered Bhante Ananda Maitreya of Sri Lanka. Arriving overland in India as a NYC filmmaker, Akasa became a Vajrayana initiate of Lama Thubten Yeshe & Zopa Rinpoche in Kopan Nepal – later a Vipassana student of Sri Munindra & S.N. Goenka, and sitting Zazen with Subhuti Shibuya Sensei: under the Bodhi Tree, all in Bodhgaya, India - and Non-Duality Advaita with notorious Nisargadatta Maharaj in Bombay. Akasa studied Western analytic therapy at UCLA on returning to America. He presently teaches Mindfulness meditation and offers individual Insight therapy at The Laughing Buddha Sangha - leads the ZEN•MEN growth group - and offers buddhist-based counseling. Akasa is now a 'Bodhi-Acharya' lineage-holder in the Theravada transmission. He is known for his spontaneity, ready warmth, and wry unpredictable humor.
